How To Export Perfectly Sharp Images from Canva

I will start this post by saying that I am a big fan of Canva. It took me a while to jump on the Canva bandwagon. After all, I am a photographer and I love using Photoshop as well. So I was a bit reluctant to use Canva, but I finally gave in, and now I’m a convert. It really is so much easier to use and saves me so much time when I’m creating graphics for blog posts, Pinterest pins, emails and other social media graphics.

Having said that, I have to say that there is an issue with Canva that really frustrates me. When exporting the graphics I create, whether as a png file or a jpg file (at 100% quality), the results are less than stellar. The exported files are blurry, they are not perfectly sharp, and as a professional photographer, to me that is absolutely unacceptable.

I was about to give up on Canva, until I figured out a little trick to get my images to export perfectly sharp from Canva.

Here’s an example:  this first image is PNG export directly from Canva. As you can see, both the copy and the image are blurry.

And here is the same image, after my little workaround – both copy and image are much sharper.

So I’ve put together a quick, 2 minute video to show you how to get your images and designs to export sharply out of Canva.

Hope this was helpful – let me know in the comments!
